This conference is organized by the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in collaboration with the Humboldt University of Berlin, the University of Potsdam and the consortium of the Marie Curie EST on Biomimetic Systems.

The conference will take place from June 26 to June 29 in the Harnack Haus in Berlin.

The name 'Bio-Systems' is used here as an abbreviation for 'biological and biomimetic systems'. The research areas that will be covered during the conference include:

• bio-molecules,
  
• molecular motility,
• membranes and cells
  
• biomaterials.
  

Participation to the conference is welcome. Participants have to register until May 31, 2006 and contribute with 20 Euros to the local costs. Details about the transfer will be sent after registration.
